Until 11th March you can save 20% at Avis.
50% bonus buying Avios at BA
Get 50% bonus Avios at BA until 22nd March. The best value available is 1.1p per Avios but that requires spending over £2k.
The price per Avios is higher at lower amounts, but could still be a good deal if you have a redemption in mind where you know you will get extra value.
The annual limit has been lifted to 200k, so you could pick up 300k in total.
50% is as good as it gets from BA, but the values are not as good as the recent Iberia 50% bonus.

Oman Air buys an extra slot at LHR from Air New Zealand
Air New Zealand has sold their slot at Heathrow after making losses on the route and deciding to exit the UK market. Oman Air have paid $27m for the slot.
Oman Air will now have 3 daily Heathrow flights.

Bahrain GP will be "participants only"
The Bahrain Formula 1 Grand Prix will be a televised event behind closed doors. That’s a massive hit to Bahrain’s tourism income, of which the GP is a massive proportion.
3 new routes from LBA next year
Jet 2 is adding 3 new routes for summer 2021. They are bookable now.
- Santorini – Thursdays, May to October
- Skiathos – Wednesdays, May to September
- Lisbon – Mondays and Thursdays
Virgin Atlantic credit cards drop the foreign exchange fee
The Virgin Atlantic free and premium Mastercards will no longer have a 2.99% transaction fee when spending in foreign currency within the EU only.

Virgin Atlantic delays Sao Paolo flights to October
The first Virgin Atlantic route to South America has been postponed until 5th October due to some virus or something, not sure what that might be.
Everyone else is still flying to South America, so Virgin clearly expects low demand. Apparently the airline industry is having a quiet period…
