Blacklane miles earning partnerships ends
Blacklane is a brilliant service with high quality vehicles and drivers. Sadly the extra bonus of miles with Lufthansa, Singapore, Cathay, and points with Shangri-La is coming to end on the following dates:
- KrisFlyer: March 20
- Miles & More: March 31
- Asia Miles: April 30
- Shangri-La’s Golden Circle: April 30
BA tier point targets reduced by 30%
BA have announced a 30% reduction in tier points required to qualify for status, but only for members due for renewal in April, May or June.
This isn’t at all generous, unlike the actions of Hilton and Qatar Airways, amongst others.
Hilton status extended by a year
- If your status was due to drop on 31st March 2020, it will be extended to 31st March 2021
- Your 2020 status, due to end 31st March 2021, will be extended to 31st March 2022
Best Western status extended to 2022
Like Hilton, Best Western made a classy move by extending status for all members until 31st Jan 2022.
In a particularly generous move, members who dropped a level at the end of 2019 will be bumped back up.
British Airways 2 for 1 vouchers extended by 6 months
Log in and check.
If you already had a voucher (new ones are getting the standard 2 years) then you will probably find that the expiry date has been moved forward by 6 months.
British Airways stops automatically sending plastic membership cards
If you like collecting them, don’t worry. You can still order a plastic card, and luggage tags, through your Executive Club account.
Hilton bonus points promo extended
The Hilton Honors promo – 2000 bonus points per stay – has been extended to 31st May.
