Harry Bauer Club Lounge, Port Vila Bauerfield International (VLI), Vanuatu
Port Vila airport in Vanuatu is very small, so it is a surprise to find a lounge here at all. It’s a nice surprise to find a lounge that you can get into with Priority Pass.
It’s a very basic lounge, and may even qualify for the title of “Smallest Priority Pass lounge”, but it’s a nicer place to sit than the gate.
There is air conditioning, wifi, a few snacks, and a clear view of the tarmac.
I first gave it 2 stars out of 5 simply because it is so basic, but I think it deserves 3, especially if you get in for free with Priority Pass.
I’m going to give it 3 stars because it’s a clean and relaxing place where you can have a cold drink, use the wifi, and watch the runway.
It can’t have more than 3 because of the lack of food and facilities, but it’s a pleasant place to be compared to outside.
Facilities
Well, there are some seats. There are plenty of power points. There is Wifi. There is air-con. The toilets are outside in the terminal.
The best thing is that it is very quiet and there is a glass wall with unobstructed views of the runway.
You will see your aircraft arrive and park up, and when it’s time to board you are 5 steps away from the gate onto the tarmac.
You can wait until everyone else has boarded – you can see the line of passengers boarding from the comfort of your armchair – then walk out of the lounge and turn left straight out of the door and across to the plane.
Seating
What you see in these two photos is everything there is. This is the entire lounge. There is seating for perhaps 20 people.
Dining
In this picture you will see the fridge of cold juice, water, and even bottles of Tusker beer, and on the table a packet of nuts.
There is also a small coffee machine.
And that’s all there is. But that’s all you’re going to need.
Not that you won’t notice anyway, given how small it is, but check all the tables and you will find that there are different types of nuts, and sometimes even cookies! Wow!
Yeah, I know, but look. It’s free with Priority Pass, it’s clean and quiet and cool, and you won’t be sitting outside on a hard plastic seat surrounded by people. For such a small airport, it’s nice.

Hours may vary according to flight schedules, but if you have a flight with Air Vanuatu then the lounge will almost certainly be open.
Location
Airside in the departure hall of the international terminal. The signs aren’t obvious but when you’re in the departure hall it’s over to the front left by the doors leading out onto the tarmac.

Harry Bauer Club Lounge isn’t affiliated with any airlines. Passengers in any class on any airline are invited to pay for entry.
It is possible that if you are flying business class you may be allowed in, but I wouldn’t count on it as there is no published policy.
